Do you charge for estimates?+
No. Written estimates for installs, repairs, duct work and comfort plans are always free, we visit, measure, talk through the options, and email you a clear, itemized quote with no obligation.
Do you also handle plumbing?+
Yes. Water heaters, water softeners and drain work, with our licensed plumbing team (Lic. 7571046). One call covers both sides of the house.
How soon can you start?+
Most estimates go out within a day, and typical projects are scheduled within one to two weeks. For urgent retrofits, before a move, a sale or an event, just tell us the date and we'll do our best to fit you in.
What does “upfront flat pricing” mean?+
Before any work begins, we give you one clear, flat price to approve, prep, materials and labor included. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons at the end. You always decide before we start.
What should I do before you arrive?+
Nothing heroic. Clear a path to the furnace or air handler, note what the system is doing and when, and keep pets comfortable, we bring shoe covers and leave rooms as we found them.
Do you charge extra for evenings or weekends?+
No. The flat price for a job is the price. True no-heat and no-cool emergencies have one posted call-out fee, quoted on the phone before we roll.
Can you give a price over the phone?+
A realistic range, yes. The flat number lands after the assessment, in writing, before any equipment is ordered, that part never varies.
What happens during the free assessment?+
Load calculation, duct check, equipment health readings and a conversation about how you actually live in the house, then a plain-English plan with one flat number per option.
How fast can you get here?+
No-heat and no-cool calls jump the line, usually same-day. Planned work books within the week, with a live arrival text instead of a four-hour window.
Equipment, sizing & efficiency
What brands do you install?+
Major-manufacturer equipment we can still get parts for in fifteen years, matched to your house rather than a quota. Have a preference? We quote it.
How do you size a system?+
A room-by-room Manual-J load calculation, windows, insulation, orientation, the lot. Sizing from square footage alone is how houses end up clammy or short-cycling.
Will a new system lower my bills?+
Usually, and we will show the math honestly, efficiency ratings, your rates, realistic run hours. If payback is thin we say so, sometimes duct sealing is the better first move.
Do heat pumps really work here?+
Boise is near-ideal heat pump country, mild winters, real rebates. Cold-climate models heat comfortably well below freezing, with backup heat for the rare arctic week.
Do you handle permits and rebates?+
Both. Permits pulled and inspections met on every install, and we file the utility rebate and tax-credit paperwork with you before we leave.
What filter should I buy, honestly?+
A properly sized media filter beats any gadget, we write your exact size on the cabinet and put it in your file. Members get theirs swapped at every tune-up.

Why does one room never match the thermostat?+
Ducts, almost always. Leaky, crushed or unbalanced runs starve the far rooms. Sealing and balancing usually fixes it without touching the equipment.

Is the Care Plan worth it?+
For most homes, yes: an annual inspection, free scuff and touch-up visits, priority scheduling, and 15% off future projects typically pay for the membership the first time you use it, and keep every finish looking new.
